Chef Arnold Poernomo yang dilahirkan dari Ibu yang seorang koki juga, sebenarnya memiliki cita-cita untuk menjadi seorang direktur marketing. Akan tetapi dalam kehidupannya di usia 14 tahun, Chef Arnold sudah bekerja di sebuah kafe di dekat rumahnya untuk sekedar mendapatkan uang jajan. Dan Chef Arnold Poernomo pun memulai dan mencintai dalam seni memasak tersebut hingga sekarang.

Restoran milik neneknya yang bernama The Nest Grill yang di kelolanya saat kembali ke Indonesia, menjadikan Chef Arnold Poernomo seorang pengusaha muda berumur 24 tahun, dan mendapatkan jabatan General Manager di restoran The Nest Grill tersebut.
